BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE FROM THE EARLY 20TH c MEIJI PERIOD EMBROIDERED & PAINTED SILK SCREEN! One side is a black color silk material featuring 2 cranes surrounded with beautiful blooming flowers and the other side is a thin gauze- like canvas material with a black ink painting on it depicting a boat on a river, trees and 2 little houses on the shore along the river with a mountain top on the far end. The screen measures 44.5″ (113 cm) wide when unfolded x 35.5″ (90.2 cm) tall each of the 4 panels. Condition : good/ fair antique condition with some damages, mostly to the upper silk parts of the 2 outer panels (see pictures). Some tiny chipping to the black paint of the wooden frames here and there. Still, the screen makes an amazing display and will be a valuable addition to any collection.
