This is a mid Showa era (c, 1950) hand painted flower vase made by Fujigawa co. Perveyors to the imperial household. (see signature on bottom – pictures 6 & 7). It features a peony flower design in blue red and gold and. Is made of a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. Having been in storage for over 60 years, it remain in very fine condition. The vase measures 10″ tall and 7 1/2″ in diameter at its widest (25 x 19 cm). The mouth opening measures approximately 3 1/2 wide (9 cm).
