A very rare item to the market, we are pleased to present this wonderful Japanese Room Divider. The frame is Japanese Black lacquer. There is a wide border of beige pure silk with white blossom flowers. This has a narrow guard border of gold silk. The background to the screens is qilt paint. An extravagant scene of cranes then spreads across the panels. Everything is hand-painted and executed, the painted panels are on paper. The divider is bakced by plain blue paper. We feel these faults could be professionally restored if needed. There are some examples in the last pictures of some punctures and tears to the paper. This does not have a big impact on the beauty of the screen. There are areas where there has possibly been previous repair. There are minor puncture marks and scrapes.
