Japanese late Meiji Era c. 1890 ceramic imari lamp with Chinese style Dragon. It has a hand painted design of peony flowers of various colors, other flower, leaves and decorations. The Dragon is raised from the surface as if coiled around the lamp. (see pictures 7, 8 and 9 for all angles). The lamp is made of a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. Having been in storage for over 100 years, the ceramic lamp remains in fine condition. Please note that the wooden base has a split and could use some repair (the listed price was adjusted with this in mind). The ceramic lamp alone measures 6″ in diameter at its widest by 12″ tall (15 x 30.5 cm). With the base, light socket and lamp shade holder it measures 27 tall.
