Of ovoid form with short wide opening neck, Japanese Satsuma hand painted crackled pottery vase, each plaque painted with scenery of gathering scholars along the riven band, each dressed in Japanese traditional Kimono outfit, both sides hand decorated with raised tapestry motif clusters of multi-color geometric design, neck painted with matching décor. Each rim with gilt finish. Overall very good condition, drilled hole for the lamp base, some gilt wear, minor bottom scratches. Of Good Quality Workmanship, Sharp & Life-Like Details. H eight 10 in.
