Beautiful Rimpa style Byoubu, painted Screen depicting flowers with vibrant colors. Painted on naturally patinated paper background. Screens were made over wooden frame with multiple backing paper layers and final layer of paper or silk , with applied silver or gold leaf… Framed in lacquered wood with attractive brocade silk framing the painting.. Single minor front damage as seen on photos.. Considering those are normal and expected abrasions , screen is in a very decent condition and can be displayed on the wall without repairs. Age : Taisho period ,, early 20th century. 395 cm (65.5cm for each panel). Good condition with some minor abrasions due of age as you see in the photos.
