Of rectangular box with rounded corners hand decorated Kobako gold-lacquered wood incense box, depicting in gold a Green Lace Leaf Japanese Maple Tree along the river band with the crossing bridge, continued gold ground landscape. With the lid opening to reveal large single compartment painted in rusty color mercury gold flakes. Set with-in silver frame. Each bottom portion painted with continued pattern. Overall very good condition, top surface depends on the angle show minor shallow scratch like marking, not visible under certain light, approximately 2 mm. Cut like mark to the side. Shows bottom scratches & minor bottom chip to lacquered wood. Interior clean, lid’s inside panel show minor lacquer wear. Comes with fitted box, item unsigned. Highly Gentle Wood Article.
