Measures 7.25 inches high. It was made in Japan in the famous Kutani region back in the late 1950’s to 1960’s. Entirely hand painted using swirls, dots and patterns, its bow on the back of its neck was formed as an asymmetric tie. Raising its left paw it is beckoning good luck and happiness for its owner. The condition is very good and it would make a wonderful addition to any Maneki Neko collector’s home. This is a mid century large porcelain Kutani Japanese sleeping cat that measures 11.25 inches long by 6.75 inches wide by 4 inches high. Its features were hand painted using raised Moriage in the elaborate design. The condition is very good and its age is from the 1960’s. It has a small kiln hole under its chin. A rare new from old stock collector’s figurine that was carefully packed and stored for these many years which is a testament to its clean untarnished base.
