Beautiful Byoubu painted Screen depicting flowers on naturally oxidized silver leafed background. Oxidation of silver creates unique , one of a kind , stunning pattern , making this screen truly unique. Screens were made over wooden frame with multiple backing paper layers and final layer of paper or silk , with applied silver or gold leaf… Framed in lacquered wood with attractive brocade silk framing the painting.. Single minor front damage as seen on photos.. Considering those are normal and expected abrasions , screen is in a very decent condition and can be displayed on the wall without repairs. Age : meji period ,,19 th century. 171.5×365painted area 154×377. Good condition with some minor abrasions due of age as you see in the photos.
