Lovely antique hand painted Satsuma buckle, decorated in daisies and chrysanthemums. Gold, blue, lavender, white and apricot. The boarder is a rich dark blue that has a bit of faded gilt trim. No Damage, just a bit of the gilt paint has worn off around the edge. It is ware from age so very acceptable. The ceramic panel is set into a metal frame that incorporates the buckle loop and tongue on the back. On the back there is a stamped hallmark which could be the mark for the famous KINKOZAN Factory. It looks like a circle with a cross. Approx 55mm in diameter. AGE: Antique 1900s From Satsuma in Japan. Nice collectors item or can be fashioned into a belt and worn.
