Presenting an exceptionally fine matching pair of vintage Japanese Kutani lidded pots. These elegantly shaped pieces have a sleekly curved hexagonal shaped form, the upper portion of which has been masterfully handpainted with a wonderfully fine and intricate Kutani design with extravagant gold detailling. The top half of each piece features four traditional scenes contained within fan, flower and fruit shaped cartouches atop a peach toned ground. Ornate gold detailing adds a lavish detail to each scene and forms a beautiful floral and foliage design atop the surrounding peach coloured background. A wonderfully ornate and finely detailed pattern trims the scalloped flower shaped rim and original lid of each piece. An elegant spire-shaped knob appears to the top of each lid while a simple gold band trims atop the crisp white porcelain lower portion perfectly unifies the design. These superb examples are presented in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some exceptionally light wear to the gold trims which beautifully enhances the charm and character of thee authentically vintage examples. These pieces have been very well cared for and present spectacularly. Each piece stands approx 85mms tall and measures 95mms in diameter. The base of each piece is beautifully signed with a six character signature as indicated in the images. These stunning pieces would make an outstanding addition to any Japanese Kutani or fine porcelain collection.
