Huge 14 Antique Japanese Satsuma Porcelain Vase Painted Samurai Imperial Scroll
This listing is for a beautiful antique Japanese Satsuma vase from the 1800s. Very large at 14 not including base. Depicts Samurai and Imperial scroll writers. There is a fine hairline that may be a firing fault, but is hardly noticeable. Otherwise very good condition. The written notes have been in the vase for a long time, I’m not too sure what it all means but certainly makes for an interesting read. This is a really lovely piece of Satsuma. Any questions please ask.

A Run of 9 Monumental Antique Oriental Wall Paintings / Wall Coverings. Genuine late 19th Century wall paper paintings / wall coverings, a. Ll featuring White and Manchurian Cranes set within extensive landscapes. (Owned by a leading British aristocratic family for 100+ years and recently removed from a highly celebrated English mansion where they were in situ since their import into the UK in 1890’s). Aged throughout and with some damage and faults but with a faded decadence / majesty and offering multiple forward-use potential for those with imagination. The paintings could be admired as is, or, slightly cropped down to remove the worst of the peripheral wear and tear. Alternatively (and perhaps more realistically) a great number of smaller works could be obtained, by framing individual birds or flocks of birds, and so creating a considerable run of more modest sized images. These are an Asian / Oriental Interior decorator’s dream come true and in the right interior could bring a wonderful, atmospheric sense of faded, yet still decadent, late Dynastic China. 40+ photos available upon request. Each panel measures approximately 110cms wide x 260 cms high ie 7.2 ft!! All with some fading and discolouration throughout. Wear, marking and blemishes. Peripheral areas and edges with some damage in places, including some rips, tears etc this damage not to all, and mainly though not exclusively, confined to the margins. And in a few cases, some water staining encroaching 10 or so inches into the scene. Bird lime spotting to a few. Despite the above, there is much scope to produce something very special. Arrived on time and as described. If I could leave a million stars, I would. SUPERB: accurately described, well packed and sent quickly – highly recommended! IF THERE WAS A SCORE HIGHER THAN 5 STARS THIS EBAYER WOULD DESERVE IT A++++. Superb communication, very honest and helpful. Many thanks for looking! Rare huge antique original Edo period 1700s Japanese scroll watercolor painting
This is a huge stunningly rare antique late 18th century Edo period Japanese scroll painting. It is beautifully painted by hand with nice rich color and an abundance of stylized Asian detailing. It has several different figural scenes creating a lovely composition. It is an extremely large scroll and has modernly been professionally framed and matted. The frame measures 63 inches by 30 1/2 inches. The scroll alone measures 48 1/4 inches by 22 1/4 inches. The painting is several hundreds of years old and has ware to it but displays very nicely and shows its age and use. It was once rolled up so it has some pieces missing as shown. It has been mounted to a board to avoid further loss. Very rare quality Japanese scroll. Thank you for visiting “Dusty Treasures ” and please feel free to browse through. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable.
