CHINA PATTERN: Mille fleur chrysanthemum. DESCRIPTION:19th Century Fine Hand Painted Egg Shell Porcelain Satsuma Tea Cup & Saucer. This lovely tea cup and saucer is hand decorated with mille fleur (French for a thousand flowers) entirely inside and outside in an abstract chrysanthemum pattern. Even the handle is decorated in hand painted tiny flowers. Like a French impressionist painting of that time period, the painting or cup and saucer is better appreciated from a distance. There is a fine gold line that is still partially intact around the outside. The cup and saucer are extremely fine and light weight. CONDITION: This is in very good condition with no cracks, crazing or repairs and with no usage marks. There is 1 wee chip in saucer rim which can be seen in pictures. Most of Gold trim is missing.
