Vivid, beautiful hand-painted polychrome enamel decoration throughout – repeating vertical bands, with blooming Chrysanthemum flower motifs in the celled Cartouches. Gilt trim and accents. Domed top lids, with Onion Bud finials. Both signed on the undersides in red, by hand, with the same Japanese Kanji character. Antique, Japanese in origin from the Meiji period – late 19th/early 20th century. PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE PAGE FOR MORE PHOTOS! 17.5″ tall with lids, 8″ diameter (across) each. Weigh about 10 lbs. Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos below. One is in pristine condition, with no issues at all. The other has an old repair at the jar lip, seen upon close inspection.
