The 6th lord of the Ise-Nagashima domain. Seventh generation of the Masuyama family of the Nagashima domain. Born in Edo as the eldest son of Masakata Masuyama. In the administration of the domain, he invited the Confucian scholar Sakujuro Nakajima and others to help educate the clan’s samurai children and develop Bunji. Influenced by his father, Shoken (Sessai), he creates paintings under the name Yukizono. Although his number of works is small, he specializes in paintings of flowers and birds in the style of Shennanpin.
