This is an antique Japanese late Taisho Era c. 1920 hand thrown ceramic imari flower vase. It has a hand painted design of chrythanstmum flowers (kiku) in multi color (akaimari). There are two raised chrysanthemum design in white (see pictures 6 & 11). The vase is made of a high fire ceramic for lasting durability. Having been in storage for almost 100 years, it remain in very fine condition. The vase measures 7″ in diameter at its widest by 12″ tall (17.8 x 30.5 cm).
